Every business, no matter how big or small needs a Business and Marketing Plan to achieve success. Yes, even direct sales and home based businesses need a plan. It doesn’t have to be fancy and complicated like a big corporation’s plan but you still need a plan. Your business and marketing plan will create a road map to send you in the right direction and keep you on track. Assuming that, you do actually follow your plan.
I help my Watkins Associates create an easy to make and follow business and marketing plan and encourage them to update it as their business grows or changes. We call it their “Recipe to Success” since the template contains all the ingredients they’ll need in order to achieve success.
Have you heard this adage? “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.” If you want to have a successful business I suggest that you take 10 minutes, sit down and write out your plan. If you don’t know where to begin, do an online search for a free business plan. For a direct sales specific Business and Marketing Plan the Direct Selling Womens Alliance has an excellent template in their archives.
