7 Reasons Why You Should Attend Business Conferences – Independent Watkins Asscociate Melody Thacker

by Melody on July 4, 2007

I just got back from Watkins Great Escape Conference last week and I had a wonderful time. I go every year as I feel it is an important investment in my direct sales business, plus I have a lot of fun and enjoy some really great food. I was honored to earn a beautiful Tiffany crystal candlestick holder at our awards banquet for #5 Manager company wide!

Does your direct sales company put on one more business conferences during the year? Do you attend? Here’s why you should:

  • Your company wants you to succeed, so they usually offer you free training at their conference.
  • Attending will increase your excitement and motivation.
  • Awards! Seeing others receive awards or maybe earning one yourself!
  • Networking with TOP consultants!
  • Being the first to learn about new products.
  • Special offers only available to attendees.
  • Fun, learning and more fun!

Even though I’m highly motivated I find conference always boosts my excitement. We had great trainers this year, my favorite being Jane Deuber from the DSWA. If you haven’t attended conference start planning and saving now so you can go to the next one. I promise, you won’t regret it a bit.

PS I’ll try to post a photo when I get them.

I try to attend as many as possible each year. I’m always learning something new.

That’s great Shane, and yes it’s a wonderful opportunity to learn something new.

I always find that the networking alone I am able to accomplish at various conferences is enough to justify the cost of attending.
