So, you are having trouble finding prospects and recruits your direct sales or network marketing business. Believe it or not, your prospects are all around you and often the people you most need to talk to are right there under your nose. They could be at the supermarket, the next party you do, they could be next customer you sell to online or at a public event. You are surrounded by acres of diamonds, all you need to do is recognize them for what they are. Here are more than 20 ways to see people as potential recruits for your business.
Think about who you know and the people you meet. Do they have any of the following characteristics, traits, wants or needs?
- Start with your customers. When someone purchases products from you or requests a catalog, include a prospecting flier from your company or one you’ve made yourself in with their order or catalog. You never know!
- How about a customer who really loves your product and might want to buy it at wholesale? Have you offered them that option?
- Someone who gives you great service. Compliment and thank them, then let them know you think they would do really well in your business.
- Someone who has expressed an interest in working at home is an ideal prospect.
- Someone who wants to earn a little extra money to buy those extras they can’t afford right now.
- Someone who wants to make a change in their life.
- A Mom who wishes she had more flexibility in her schedule. She might like to become a work at home Mom.
- Someone who is 25 years old or older.
- Someone who is fun to be around.
- Someone who is a natural conversationalist.
- Someone who is a real leader.
- Someone who wants to be their own boss.
- Someone who has great self confidence.
- Someone who asks a lot of questions about your business. That’s a big clue.
- That person who takes over at a party you are hosting and enjoys helping everyone.
- Someone who is always on time for appointments.
- Someone who has a positive attitude and always sees the brighter side of things.
- Someone who is clever or creative.
- Someone who enjoys a challenge and can rise to the occasion.
- Someone who has strong work ethics would be a great choice.
- Someone who shares the values of people you want on your team.
It’s true not everyone will be interested in joining you in the business, but don’t prejudge for them, offer them the opportunity and let them decided for themselves. It might not have occurred to these people that they could join your business so it’s up to you to make sure they know it’s an option.
