How Direct Sellers Can Generate Leads Online

Whether you are promoting a product or service for your direct sales business, reaching the right market is absolutely essential. Your website, either a personal site or one sponsored by your company can become an excellent vehicle for generating viable leads at little or no cost. Here are some tips on how direct sellers can generate leads online:

First of all you’ll need an auto-responder and a web site of some type. Using an auto-responder is a very efficient way for you to contact people who are interested in what you have to offer, immediately and on a regular basis. You can choose to subscribe to a service, usually for a monthly fee, or purchase a program to be installed on your own computer. When someone signs up to receive your newsletter or for more information, a message is automatically emailed to them. Thereafter, you can send regular emails on an incremental, predetermined basis for as long as the subscriber remains active.

Keep in mind that regular newsletters will keep your brand fresh in your prospective customer’s mind. If you write content-rich mailings this will improve the likelihood that your recipients will keep the material beyond the first reading, thus increasing exposure to your products or service and ensuring that your website address and contact information is readily available.

When your company launches a new product or service, you can send an email to your newsletter distribution list to let prospective customers know that something new is available. Don’t forget to include active links to your website to make purchasing easy and convenient.

Increase your newsletter sign ups by offering a “freebie”, such as an ebook, course or special report. Alternatively, you could offer a discount on your subscriber’s next order as an incentive to sign up right away. Creating a sense of urgency can motivate the buyer to act immediately and decreases the odds that the mailing will be put aside and forgotten.
